We reached Soko Banja on Wednesday after a 4 and a half hour bus trip with the family. Soko Banja is a beautiful, mountainous town with lovely parks and some great attractions. After settling into our rooms in the apartment, which overlooked the whole town (it was on a massive hill) we set out to check out the local markets and parks. We found a massive plaza where they had cafes along the strip and there was people everywhere!! It must be a popular summer holiday destination!
The next day we went trekking through the mountains to find the old remnents of Sokograd and the Holy Sight of Saint Petka, which we had to climb to like rock climbers haha, only a few of us made it lol!! After all this walking we found a gorgeous fresh water swimming park. The water flowed straight from the mountian so it was icy cold but very refreshing. The next day we walked 9km up a mountain to see the Ripaljka waterfall. It was spectacular and also very cold! EJ dared to get into the water, his nipples nearly fell off! :) We have been eating well at the plaza and Bozsike, Jancsi and Feri have been making beautiful meals at the apartment.
